About this agency

Adoptions of Southern Oregon provides adoption services that take into consideration the best interests of our infants and children. We wish to extend respect and support to birth parents and to offer education and expertise to adoptive parents. Adoptions of Southern Oregon is a non-profit 503(c)(3) licensed adoption agency. We provide pre- and post-adoption services to both birth parents and adoptive parents in recognition that adoption is not an event but a process that requires a great deal of preparation and dedication from all concerned. Adoptions of Southern Oregon is affiliated with the Special Needs Adoption Coalition (SNAC). As a SNAC agency we are dedicated to recruiting, screening, preparing and counseling families who want to adopt children who are in state custody.

My Husband and I have been trying for a child for sometime now, but we've also been talking about adopting children as well. There's so many who grew up like I did in the Foster System, and I remember that even when I got adopted, it only got worse because of the parents I got, and how they chose to raise me. It's growing up, maturing, and knowing the rights and wrongs, and how you'd rather be a kind, loving, caring, honest yet communicative, and understanding Parent. To be their safe space whenever they are having a hard time, and allowing them to open up on their own to you, instead of hurting them more than what they had already went through.
